All monthly accounts paid by check, cash or money order will need to make a one month deposit in addition to the first monthly payment in advance. All deposits are fully refundable upon cancellation of an account, so long as there are no outstanding balances. Setup disks (Connection Manager) may be obtained at the offices of Hawaii Pacific Networks at the time of sign-up, downloaded upon sign-up via credit card or Hawaii Pacific Networks will mail the connection manager and browser disks upon receipt of payment for a new account. Hawaii Pacific Networks is more than an ISP. We are a communications company and an information provider. Web Hosting is a vital service that we provide to the growing community of individuals , groups, institutions and businesses engaged in Internet communications, community service, and e-commerce. Our sole objective, in this regard, is to provide premium quality web hosting and maintenance. Our Webmasters are professionals in their field and our technicians are highly experienced Cisco trained and certified professionals. Together they make up a team that can assure our customers the highest level of Web site reliability and service.

Hawaii Pacific Networks can provide our customers with a full range of services, from web site consultation, design and creation to hosting and maintenance. All our web site accounts are connected through our T-1 direct link to GST's OC-12 backbone fiber optic lines.

Hosting Features and Services: In addition to five hosting plans Hawaii Pacific Networks offers a variety of tools, features and services that are included with each plan (see our tool box beneath the plan menu). Among these are ftp and telnet access to your web site, as well as development tools, special Island Domain Names (if desired) and tools to access your web traffic and performance.

Outgoing Bandwidth (OGB): OGB is a measure of the actual amount of requested data transferred from your Website (outgoing transfer) measured in megabytes. Each plan has included within it a fixed amount of OGB. If and when you exceed this fixed amount, Hawaii Pacific Networks will bill you in your next billing cycle, for the additional amount used, at the rate indicated in each plan.

Choosing a Plan: The five plans offered by Hawaii Pacific Networks encompass a wide spectrum of individual and commercial needs. Choosing the right plan however, entails a thoughtful analysis of both the proposed content and capabilities of the website itself as well as the size, projected and potential web traffic of the targeted market. The development of a website is usually a 'work always in progress' and we recommend that care be given not only to content and functionality but also to flexibility. We neither design nor develop websites, but we do offer a limited, no-charge consulting service to our prospective customers. We have a database of website designers, developers and programmers, here on Kauai, in Hawaii and on the mainland with whom we have worked and in whose work we have confidence. The Plans

Personal and Non-Commercial Websites.

Personal dial-up accounts in good standing already have 6 megabytes available to them as part of their unlimited dial-up plan. Hawaii Pacific Networks accounts can create and host their own, non-commercial Website up to 6 megabytes in size at any time. Please call us when you wish to upload your website and we will open up an FTP directory access account for you. There is a one time $5.00 directory activation charge for this service.

Non-Profit Organizations

Hawaii Pacific Networks will provide discounts for Non Profits on a case by case basis.

Commercial Websites

e: Designates a high level e-commerce site.

Hawaii Pacific Networks thought that some of you might like to have an e-mail address that was more personal than midpac.net, so we decided to offer our customers a menu of Internet domain addresses, most of which are specific to Kauai. You can attach your name choice to these domain names to create your own customized, personal e-mail address. There is no charge for the use of any these names.

The following is a list of the current domain names that you may use for your e-mail address. As an example, if you would like the e-mail domain "kapaa.net", you will be able to have "yourname@kapaa.net". Decide on your name before you order your account and simply let us know your choice at the time of your subscription.

Remember, only one specific "username" per domain name is available.

Domain name choices:

High Speed Access at our location: Hawaii Pacific Networks has installed work stations at its premises that are available to individuals, commercial enterprises or organizations who may need temporary or discreet access to high speed download or upload capabilities. These workstations are available by appointment in advance. Charges are scaled and based on both time and bandwidth used. Additional facilities are available for periods exceeding a single 24 hour period. Call us at 246-9334 for more information.

Secure Transactions: Hawaii Pacific Networks can provide password protected areas of a website and can provide secure transactions with Cybercash. Call us for details.

Anonymous FTP: If you would like visitors to your website to be able to login and download certain files Hawaii Pacific Networks can provide space on its FTP server for this purpose. Setup cost is $40.00 and disk space and OGB will be calculated as part of each plan's designated allotment.

Special Installations and Instruction: Hawaii Pacific Networks provides custom on-sight installations and instruction in the use of Internet browsers. We will visit your location and help you install and configure your Connection Manager software and instruct you in its use if you desire. Hawaii Pacific Networks hourly rates for this service are $40.00 per hour including travel time for personal accounts, and $65.00 an hour including travel time for business accounts. Special reduced rates for senior citizens and the handicapped are available upon request.

SUBSCRIBE IN PERSON: We are located at 3016 Umi Street, Suite 203 , Lihu`e. Come by our offices at anytime between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, and we'll be happy to explain and demonstrate our services to you, answer your questions, and if you'd like, sign you up. If you do decide to subscribe we will set up your account while you are in the office and provide you with a Connection Manager diskette which is all you should need to connect your computer and modem to our modem pool.
